For many years I had been driving out to fish this river and its tributaries,
So I moved there on April fools day 1995.
And have lived Happily Ever After!
Jim Thorpe Fishing Company was started after 12 years of extensive research on the Beautiful Lehigh River and its tributaries. I started fishing the river in 1987.
Only then after 10 years on the river, After many, many hundreds of hours of fishing was it possible to offer a Competent and Professional Guide Service.
I now have more than 40 years experience on East Coast Rivers,Streams and Creeks.
I have now been guiding in PA for over 21 years.
I have fished most of the more famous rivers and streams in PA and many that most have not heard of.
I have fished from The Great Smokey Mountains in Tennessee, to Baxter State Park in Maine.
From Cape Hatteras National Seashore in North Carolina, to Cape Cod National Seashore in Massachusetts. From Florida to Maine.
Northern California Rivers such as the Sacramento,Truckee and the Russian river in Sebastopol.
I have been to southeast Alaska in late September when there is plenty of Salmon and NO TOURISTS!
I offer flexible trips that can be customized to suit your schedule and fishing needs.
Lodging and meals are also available at my house just up the road from the River.
I have New beds in the guest bedrooms and I love to cook for people and know how to do it.
